A Modern Makeover with Industrial Edge

This Clerkenwell flat had great bones, generous double-height ceilings and striking industrial-style windows, but the interiors felt tired and dated. The brief was to bring back a sense of impact, making the most of the architecture while creating a home that felt warmer, sharper and more practical.

MALT introduced a bold, modern design with an industrial edge. The kitchen was redesigned with black metal handles, concrete worktops and carefully planned storage to maximise every available inch. A pokey closet was opened up to create an accessible larder, adding valuable storage and a dedicated spot for the all-important cuppa. To celebrate the height of the space, a statement chandelier brought drama and scale, while Crittall-style doors and sliding panels allowed light to move through the home while maintaining privacy and safety.

The result is a city flat with real wow factor: practical, polished and full of character, with a more luxurious feel in every room.
