A Quality Space That Transformed Family Living

What can you do when a growing family has outgrown their home, but moving is not an option? This narrow, dark two-bedroom Crouch End flat was MALT’s own, with an awkward layout that placed the living area at the front and the kitchen at the back. It needed to work much harder for a family of four, within a carefully managed budget.

The design reconfigured and extended the flat to transform how the family could live. The front reception became a third bedroom, while the rear and side extension moved the kitchen, dining and living space to the back, opening directly onto the garden. Every decision was carefully considered to maximise light, storage, flow and everyday comfort without wasting space.

The result is a brighter, calmer and more functional family home. Everyone gained their own room, and the quality of daily life was completely transformed.
