Crouch End House
Pattern, Texture and Personality
Having moved from a flat into her first house, our client wanted a home that felt confident, personal and full of character. As a journalist with a bold sense of style, she embraced the design process and trusted MALT to create something distinctive, expressive and completely her own.
MALT reworked the layout to bring more light, flow and purpose to the house. Opening up the wall between the front and rear lounge created a brighter, more generous living space, while the bathroom was completely reconfigured to allow for both a bath and separate shower. Bespoke joinery, pattern, texture and colour were used throughout to add storage, structure and personality. A monochrome palette and subtle industrial details gave parts of the home a graphic edge, while bolder colour and decorative moments kept the overall scheme warm and expressive.
The result is a home that feels bold, practical and full of life. Every space reflects our client’s taste, while the overall design feels connected, considered and confidently her own.
