Form and Function for a Busy Family

This Crouch Hill flat had a layout our clients already loved, but it needed to work much harder for busy family life. With a young daughter and both parents working from home, the brief was to create more storage, better focus areas and greater flexibility, while keeping the home spacious, welcoming and a little opulent.

MALT refined the flat with practical, carefully considered changes that made a real difference. A pocket door improved hallway access to the loo, while updated electrics and soundproofing insulation helped create a warmer, quieter and more comfortable home. Bespoke joinery was designed to hide everyday clutter and allow different zones to adapt as the family grows. In the bedroom and hallway, String furniture created beautiful, high-functioning work areas without compromising the feel of the spaces.

The result is a home that feels personal, textured and highly practical, with pattern, comfort and flexibility woven throughout.
