After many years of family life, this Hampstead Garden Suburb home was ready for something new. Not a move, and not a safe refresh, but a proper transformation that would give the house more space, more light and a clearer sense of purpose.
The clients chose to stay, extend and rework their home into a place that reflects who they are now: vibrant, warm, full of personality and not afraid of colour. MALT’s role was to create a design that felt joyful but still calm and considered, with every choice earning its place. The extension brought in light and connection, while the refurbishment gave each room greater definition. Rich tones added depth, layered textures softened the mood, and bespoke joinery brought practical storage with a tailored feel.
The result is a home full of renewed energy: expressive, comfortable and deeply personal. Proof that a fresh start does not always mean starting somewhere else.
