Small Changes, Big Impact

How do you create space and a sense of luxury in a house that feels cramped, dark and unloved? This Kentish Town home had strong potential, but poor planning, unconsidered finishes and a lack of light meant the spaces were not working as well as they could.

MALT redesigned the whole home, using strategic interventions to improve light, flow and function throughout. Selected sections of wall were removed, key spaces were reconfigured, and bespoke joinery was introduced to maximise storage and bring purpose to difficult areas. In the kitchen, most of the original units were retained, then elevated with bespoke concrete worktops and considered detailing, proving that thoughtful updates can have a powerful effect.

The result is a home that feels open, airy and sophisticated. What once felt pokey and poorly resolved now feels calm, generous and quietly luxurious, with every space working harder and feeling more connected.
