A Compact Space, Crafted with Character

This Crouch End home needed updating across several spaces, with the loft conversion forming the heart of the brief. Its existing layout did not make the best use of the compact footprint, leaving the space feeling underused and disconnected from the owners’ personalities. Downstairs, the open-plan kitchen extension also needed greater warmth, lighting and character.

MALT transformed the loft into a richly layered suite, using bespoke joinery, quality materials and deep, characterful colours to make every inch work harder. Carefully planned storage helped resolve the challenging proportions, while tactile finishes, statement lighting and considered furnishings brought a more luxurious and personal feel. Crittall doors and windows were introduced upstairs and downstairs, adding definition while allowing light to move through the home.

The result is a more cohesive, crafted and characterful home, with the compact loft now elevated into one of its most personal spaces.
